Son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Ashworth of Branxton, N.S.W.
Enlisted on August 26, 1914 at Grafton, N.S.W. and his unit embarked from Brisbane, Qld. On September 24, 1914 aboard the “Omrah”.
He was wounded at Gallipoli in May, 1915.
He returned to Australia aboard the “Suffolk” in January, 1916 and was discharged as medically unfit.
